Jacksonville High School Story Map Takes First Place Nationwide!!

The Illinois Leadership Team for the ArcGIS Online Story Map Competition for K-12 is proud to announce that Grace Newman and Rachel Lay, recent graduates of Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Illinois, are the national 1st prize winners of the ArcGIS Online Story Map Competition for 4-12 students. Their  entry on dangerous intersections, backed by data and statistics, showcases their exceptional storytelling skills which landed them in first place nationwide.

Their accomplishment reflects not only their own hard work and talent but also the dedication and guidance of their teacher, Jim Chelsvig, their parents, and the community members who supported them throughout the competition.

We would also like to express our gratitude to all the competition participants.  We encourage them to continue exploring the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
