Today I found some great apps that I’d like to tell you about:

1. BAO from ESRI, http://www.esri.com/software/bao-ios/index.html: This app gives you demographic information for an area of 1 mile around any address. It is really interesting to see the population characteristics of a neighborhood. The basic app is free, but of course, a paid subscription will get you much more.

2. Geo Walk HD – 3D, http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/geo-walk-hd-3d-world-fact-book/id379602269?mt=8 This one costs $2.99. I haven’t made the purchase yet, but plan to soon, since I have a little left on my iTunes gift card.

3. Wolfram Alpha, http://products.wolframalpha.com/iphone/ This is quite the search engine for mathematics and science and now is available for the iPhone.
