Riding the waves of the sea change occurring in the world of GIS and geospatial technology is both exhilarating and exhausting. However online learning has made this task not only more manageable, but also enjoyable. I recently signed up for the MOOC,”Skills for the Digital Earth”, offered through Elmhurst College. I see this as a wonderful opportunity to build geospatial skills and learn of real-world GIS applications and am excited to start the course this spring.
